Octane 010 deze keer, met op de cover <a href=\"http:\/\/www.websitebeheermodule.nl\/\/Data\/Repositories\/f72caee34dcc83da4a34089e385f9ceb\/docs\/Octane_Cover_010.jpg\">de fantastische Uhlenhaut Coup\u00e9 van Mercedes<\/a>. Binnenin een grote special over het Concours d&#8217;Elegance Het Loo, maar ook verhalen over Alpine, Maserati en Ayrton Senna (een vertaling van mijn hand).<\/p>\n<p>Mijn belangrijkste bijdrage is ditmaal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.websitebeheermodule.nl\/\/Data\/Repositories\/f72caee34dcc83da4a34089e385f9ceb\/docs\/010_DAF_W.jpg\">de reportage die ik samen met Dennis Drenthe en Bruno De Regge maakte over de London-Sydney Marathon van 1968<\/a>, de langste rally aller tijden. Daaraan deden ook twee DAF&#8217;s mee, die de monsterrit allebei uitreden. Met teamchef Rob Koch en twee originele teamleden, David van Lennep en Peter Hissink, haalden we herinneringen op en gingen we nog eens met de DAF op pad. Niet in West-Australi\u00eb, maar in Noord-Limburg. Komt in de buurt, toch? (Nee, serieus, op die warme dag in maart hadden de Weerterbergen kunnen doorgaan voor de Australische bush-bush!)<\/p>\n<p>Verder weer veel raceverslagen in mijn historische-autosportubriek Finishvlag, met name over de Grand Prix Monaco Historique en de Historic Zandvoort Trophy.
