English

A motor racing author since 1998, I’ve grown a passion for motorsport history while keeping a keen interest in today’s events. Most of my knowledge is recorded on 8W and its sister site 6th Gear.

Some years ago I began exploring ways to share that knowledge professionally through various media. Today I mainly work as a motor racing journalist for Autosport.nl, Octane Magazine, Historic Motor Racing News and Formule 1 Magazine. Earlier clients include Driving-fun.com and RTL GP Magazine.

For Autosport.nl, Octane Magazine and Historic Motor Racing News, my main areas of interest are motor racing history and historic motor racing, recounting the stories of racing heroes of the past while also visiting and reporting on the most prestigious historic events on the calendar, such as the Goodwood Revival and the Spa Six Hours. On top of that, I’m the press officer and official race reporter for Masters Historic Racing’s European series.

For Autosport.nl and Formule 1 Magazine, I’m following the main F1 feeder categories such as Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

I have written three motorsport books. The first one recounts the history of the first 20 years of Dutch F2/F3/FRECA/F4 team MP Motorsport, the other two are biographies of two fallen stars of Dutch motorsport in the sixties and seventies, Ab Goedemans and Wim Boshuis.

Copywriter
The other half of the time, I’m a self-employed copywriter and business journalist, working in both Dutch and English. My main interest lies in sustainable forms of marketing and communications, i.e. communications that will promote and foster sustainable relationships with customers and employees alike.

Photographer
I can also be employed as a photographer, complementary to my motorsport reporting as well as my business writings.
